WATER BAPTISM
RAISED TO LIFE
Water baptism is a way for believers to outwardly express what God has done in their hearts and lives in the presence of other believers. When you are baptized in water, you are identifying yourself with Jesus. Family and friends are encouraged to attend and celebrate this significant decision.
WHO SHOULD BE BAPTIZED?
If you have just made a Fresh Start with God and accepted Jesus as Lord of your life, you should be baptized. If you were baptized as a child before you understood what baptism meant, or if you have just rededicated your life to the Lord, then you should consider being baptized again.
Why should we be water baptized?
We should be water baptized because Jesus was baptized and He is our example and because He commanded us to be baptized.
Mark 1:9 – At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
Matthew 28:19 – Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
